Booker has extended the opening hours across its network of 172 cash and carry branches. Now all branches will be open from 7.30am on weekdays and will have extended hours at the weekend.
The company said the new opening hours had been introduced following customer feedback, and that they were intended to help retailers have greater flexibility and convenience to manage their business.
The new minimum weekend hours are 7.30am to 2pm on Saturday and 9am to 1pm on Sunday. Some branches will be open for longer than the minimum.
"This is part of Booker's commitment to better service," said Steve Fox, director of retail and Premier development. "We have been listening to our customers and have responded to their needs.
"The new opening hours mean more flexibility for our customers to help them manage their business day-to-day, and also act as a top-up on a weekend."
