3G Food Service & Seafood Solutions, distributors of chilled and frozen foods to the foodservice sector, has appointed Julie Constable as its new product development manager.

Constable is responsible for developing new and innovative products at the same time as ensuring that the existing ranges remain at a high quality level. She also has to interpret the latest market trends and use 3G's sourcing to offer value to customers. She previously worked at Young's Seafood in Hull as development technologist, and before that she worked for Marr Foods.

Constable said: "What attracted me to the job was that 3G has a fresh and dynamic approach to food service and a really diverse customer base, from local businesses to national chains."

Ben Smales, managing director of 3G Food Service, said: "We are delighted to welcome Julie to 3G. We are investing hugely in product development and Julie's experience will be invaluable."
