Batleys has appointed Anton James as the general manager of its new depot in Gillingham.
James was previously at the Fareham depot in Southampton for seven years, where he was the general manager. He has been working in the wholesale industry for 18 years and started with Nurdin & Peacock Cash & Carry.
James was responsible for the managing of the Batleys depot in Southampton, overseeing stocks, sales and recruiting. He said "I am looking forward to the new challenge."
Younus Sheikh managing director of the Bestway Cash and Carry group said: "The new Batleys Gillingham branch is an important and exciting opening for the whole Bestway group and a great opportunity for Anton James, as its general manager, and I wish him every success."
Paul Duce is filling the position of general manager at the Fareham depot.
