Landmark Wholesale has announced that its next marketing director will be Ian Davidson, senior channel manager cash and carry/wholesale at Whyte & Mackay.

Davidson will join Landmark in January, and will work alongside current marketing director Chris Rose, who will retire after the group's annual conference in Cape Town next May.

Davidson will already be well known to many people in wholesaling having worked in the wholesale channel for the past 10 years for Campbell Distillers, Caxton Wines and Pernod Ricard before Whyte & Mackay.

Landmark managing director Martin Williams said: "Ian actually presented at our Stockholm conference this year, so we have a good idea of his calibre, and we know he will bring passion, energy and intellect to the role, along with a wealth of commercial experience.

"We are delighted to secure Ian's services and believe he will be a considerable asset to Landmark Wholesale."
