Baxters has launched a new size for its frozen soup range.
It has introduced 250g individual portions in its Good as Home-made range in the Tomato & Basil, Creamy Mushroom, Carrot & Coriander, Chicken and Country Vegetable, Spiced Parsnip and Minestrone variants.
Courgette & Créme Fraiche, Pea & Mint and Spicy Lentil & Vegetable come in 1kg and 2kg.
The soup is ready to defrost, heat and serve, and wastage is minimal as the shelf life is up to a year frozen and four-days once defrosted. The soups can be prepared in a pan, microwave, steamer or bain marie and are available in 6x1kg and 16x250g. The soups are nut free, contain no artificial colour, hydrogenated fats or added MSG.
Richard Cox, assistant director customer brand sales of Baxters Foodservice, said: "With the recent introduction of the Baxters 250g individual portion size, caterers can offer a wide variety of soup choices throughout the day with no wastage."
