3663 has donated one of its end-of-term trucks to the relief work organisation, Reform Corporation.

The truck will be used in various projects in Africa and has been loaded with books and medical supplies such as wheelchairs.

The vehicle will be used locally to distribute perishable fish, meat and other food items to the remote villages on a regular basis.

Graham Rennie, director of fleet for 3663, said: "Instead of following the traditional route of recycling the vehicle for spare parts in our fleet, we saw the potential value of the vehicle beyond its service to 3663. Our truck will make a tangible difference to someone's life, whether they benefit from the use of one of the wheelchairs the vehicle is transporting or improving their life standard because of the food and literacy programmes that Reform Corporation is running in local African communities."

Dr Joe Ukemenam, chief executive of Reform Corporation, said: "Because of the company's donation, more than 20,000 people and five community projects will directly benefit from the material we are transporting to Africa. We would wish for others who can, to support our work in such a significant way."
