Delivered wholesaler Sun Oil has joined Landmark Wholesale. The Middlesex-based wholesaler specialises in the delivery of ambient grocery to a mainly retail-customer base, with more than 300 customers located within the M25, and also has an export business, which won it the Queen's Award for Export Achievement.
Sun Oil buying director Mohan Khurana said: "Over the last three years, Sun Oil has grown rapidly, achieving at least 20% growth each year. Our focus has now been set on developing the grocery retail side of our business and we felt that Landmark Wholesale was the ideal group to help us expand this area and take the company forward.
"Landmark Wholesale is well-known and well-respected within the industry and we are keen to develop better relationships with our suppliers and feel that our association with Landmark will allow us to achieve this."
Sun Oil was formed 10 years ago by Dr Rami Ranger MBE, and now operates out of an 80,000sq ft of warehouse in Greenford, Middlesex. Its annual turnover for last year was £25.8m, up 36% on the previous year, and its projected turnover for this year is £36m.
The wholesaler has an own-label range consisting of over 35 grocery lines, which are predominantly for export and will be stocking Landmark Wholesale own brand ranges too.
Landmark Wholesale managing director Martin Williams said: "We are delighted to welcome Sun Oil."
Will Government proposals to ban the display of tobacco in retail premises damage the wholesale sector?
