As ProWholesaler went to press, the FWD PR Action Group (PRAG) driving the My Shop Is Your Shop campaign was drawing up plans for autumn activity.
PRAG agreed at its June 27 meeting at Warwick that wholesalers and retailers should maximise the momentum gained during National Independents' Week by proposing creative ideas for the autumn.
Competitions in the trade press promoting MSYS will be a feature of this activity. A focus group for retailers to get their input into new applications of the MSYS culture will be held at Oxford. Another first will be the award of a Gold Medal to the MSYS Retailer Of The Year at the annual dinner of FWD at the Café Royal on November 29. Nominations for this award will be invited from wholesalers.
More supplier representation will be a feature of the next PRAG meeting at Stratford on Avon on September 18. MSYS chairman Alan Toft told ProWholesaler: "We will be publishing proposals very soon."
