MBL has promoted Neil Whitelaw to head of distribution operations, managing all of its distribution centres.

In his previous position Whitelaw was a supply chain project manager where he was responsible for the development and implementation of new ways of working to support the delivery of improved service and lower cost.

Whitelaw has been with MBL for five years. Before that he worked for Asda and Iceland Frozen Foods. He is replacing Jon Peggs, who has a new role within MBL as head of supply chain development.

Scott Wharton, supply chain director of MBL, said: "I am extremely pleased that Neil is taking up the role of head of distribution operations, to lead the development of the MBL distribution team, in providing the best supply chain solutions for our independent retailers."
