Best-in has claimed another success with blind taste testing.

Following its Best-in own label versus the brand leader baked beans blind taste in February, Batleys Cash and Carry in West Bromwich has carried out another test.

The latest taste test put fruit juice under the spotlight. Fifty three retail customers compared Best-in Tropical juice against the brand leader, and 35 said they preferred the own brand.

In the previous test more than half of the 35 retailers were unable to tell the difference between the Best-in beans and the brand leader.

Paul Rabone, general manager of Batleys West Bromwich, said: "We are delighted with these results, but we were even more pleased that they translated into hard sales of 251 cases of one litre Best-in Tropical juice on the day."
