Martin Higson has been appointed operations director of Casper.
He will be in charge of the supply chain and all operational matters, working with both its companies, King UK and Industrial Supplies UK.
Higson joins from Bunzl where he worked for 13 years, most recently as part of its UK and Ireland senior management team. He was involved with the successful integration of many of the acquisitions made in the UK by the group as well as playing a leading role in helping the operational and customer service performances of its catering, retail and healthcare supplies business.
In 2003 he was appointed MD of Bunzl's UK retail and healthcare supplies division. He was also a key member of the European retail forum and chaired the logistics forum.
Christoph Sander, chief executive of Casper, said: "He brings with him a wealth of experience in general management, supply chain optimisation and the integration of acquisitions."
