Jason receives his prize from Louise Heap, Nestlé Rowntree’s regional sales rep for Booker

The Nestlé Rowntree Manager of the Month for May is awarded to Jason Quinn, general manager of Booker, Middleton.

Jason started his career with Booker when he was just 15-years-old, working part-time at first until he left college where he studied hotel and catering services. He then started on a full-time basis as a management trainee and had progressed to manager by the time he was 20. Throughout his career, Jason has managed several branches across Lancashire and Yorkshire, serving approximately 17,500 customers.

The Middleton depot is 65,000 sq ft, with about 35% of its customers from the retail sector and about 65% from the catering industry. It has a large catchment area with hundreds of customers coming through its doors every day.

Nestlé Rowntree recognised Jason for this award for his consistent ‘over-and-above’ support for new product launches. Jason is supportive of Nestlé Rowntree’s commitment to ‘execution’ and as such has ensured that any new product launch or promotion is guaranteed display at the front of the depot.

Jason has been extremely proactive and positive in his approach, and has built a mutually beneficial partnership with Nestlé Rowntree, encouraging them to work alongside him and his customer base to ensure excellent customer service, and to maximise new opportunities.

Jason’s commitment to a good working relationship extends particularly to Nestlé Rowntree’s field sales team. Not only does he make a consistent effort to communicate regularly with them to ensure the right stock is available in the right amount at the right time, he also spends a significant amount of time making sure that the field sales team understands his business completely by holding and chairing monthly meetings with them to ensure everyone is up to speed.

This consistent commitment to delivering excellent customer service makes Jason a worthy winner of the May Manager of the Month title
