After nearly a year and a half in charge of Booker, chief executive Charles Wilson will be able to provide an update on how his turnaround strategy is working at the company.

Having stabilised the company he is now working on developing an offer that best matches the diverse requirements of Booker's retail and catering customers.

He will be able to outline how Booker is changing its range and the ways it supplies them to enable its customers to offer consumers a better choice of products, at lower prices, and with excellent service.

Wilson has an extensive experience of wholesaling and retailing having previously been managing director of Booker in July 2000, when Stuart Rose was in charge of the then plc until after it merged with Iceland.

He later linked up with Rose again at Arcadia and then Marks & Spencer. Shortly after Wilson rejoined Booker he reinstated its membership of the FWD and became a member of its Council.
