Internet Marketing Services (IMS) has developed a blueprint for a new software system for wholesalers using e-commerce.
According to IMS, the new software system allows wholesalers to have more control over their website but also has a feature which allows them to offer their retailers the same website, but at a fraction of the price. The system provides the wholesaler with a comprehensive website and also multi-website facilities so they can create hundreds of websites from the same central system. They can promote either a single product or product range with independent websites, meaning they can market those sites to the search engines in a more focused and targeted way.
Wholesalers can manage their product information and product images, scanned instruction manuals and short video clips.
Carl Jarvis, managing director of IMS, said: "IMS intends to use the new software system to encourage wholesalers to adopt a new website philosophy."
Will Government proposals to ban the display of tobacco in retail premises damage the wholesale sector?
