Watts leaves Blueheath

Lynne Watts, chief operating officer of Blueheath, left the company at the end of December.

Watts said it was an amicable parting and added: "I wish them well and what they are doing is the right thing for the future." She said that new opportunities had arisen and she would be able to reveal more shortly. In a Stock Exchange announcement about her departure the company said: "The board would like to record their thanks for her valued contribution and wish her well for the future."

Watts joined Blueheath in September 2004 from Cert Distributors, part of the Cert Group, where she had been managing director since 1998 She had originally joined the company in 1995 to set up the Cert Promotions arm.

Watts departure is the latest in a round of changes at the company in the last few months, with founder Douglas Gurr being replaced as chief executive by Mark Aylwin in June and Gary Smith being appointed to the newly created position of group buying director in November.
