Prime Meats, the specialist meat company which is part of Brakes, has launched four fresh pork products carrying the RSPCA's Freedom Food label.

Freedom Food is the RSPCA's farm assurance and food labelling scheme dedicated to improving welfare standards for the 900 million farm animals reared for food each year.

The pork products initially launched by Prime Meats are all sourced from farms in Norfolk and have been developed to be suitable to caterers. The four products are Pork Stir Fry Strips, Pork Leg Meat (diced), Pork Shoulder (diced) and Pork Mince.

Rob McFarlane, sales director of Prime Meats, said: "Launching these products and being the first to do so in foodservice demonstrates how Prime Meats leads the industry in offering not only choice but products that caterers can trust and serve with confidence."
