The appointment of Dudley Ramsden as non-executive president of Nisa-Today's Holdings was approved by its annual general meeting on November 28. This followed his decision to retire as executive chairman, 30 years after he founded the group.
Members at the meeting thanked Ramsden and his co-founder Peter Garvin for their contribution to the business over the past 30 years and building it to the size it is today.
Alan Symonds, chairman of T&S Symonds, and Colin Graves, executive chairman of Costcutter Supermarkets Group, were among directors re-elected to the board, and Sucha Singh, managing director of Thames Cash & Carry, was among new directors elected to the Board.
