Euro Foods Group has put five Isuzu NQR 7.5 tonne rigid trucks on the road, all featuring the NEES 2 Easyshift transmission. The five trucks are involved in the distribution previously managed by six.

Euro Foods Group runs a large distribution fleet ranging from articulated lorries to 7.5 tonne rigid vehicles. It delivers predominantly to southern-based customers from a depot in Newport in South Wales and Barking in Essex.

Each Isuzu NQR truck has been fitted with the standard Euro Foods specification for refrigerated bodies, a Lamberet twin compartment body with a Carrier Transicold Xarios 600 refrigeration system. Inside each vehicle body is a moveable bulkhead to divide the frozen meat and poultry products from dry goods such as rice and tinned foods.

Clive Brock, operations director at Euro Foods, said: "Since the Isuzus went into service the drivers have been extremely pleased with their performance, both on typical motorway journeys and most importantly around town where parking spaces are tight."
