Online delivered wholesaler Blueheath has revealed that the restructuring of its logistics has hit fulfilment levels from its depot at Thurrock, Essex.
The company closed its Tamworth depot in the Midlands and transferred business to the depot in Wrexham, North Wales, it acquired when it took over CTM, and the depot in Thurrock, acquired as part of the takeover of AC Ward.
In a trading update released at its AGM, Blueheath said sales from the Thurrock depot had been affected by the fulfilment problems, but it expected to correct the problems shortly. It added that CTM was not affected by the problems and was making a profit.
It also said that further cost cutting would be required to achieve an operating profit for the overall business, and that its new management was carrying out a review to identify how this could be achieved.
