Booker has launched a stationery range branded Home Office, which is delivered direct to retailers' stores through Booker's drop shipment service.
Steve Fox, director of retail and premier development, said: "This is a great opportunity for our customers to gain incremental sales from this high profit category. With children and students starting back at school and college it is a great time to introduce stationery into independent stores."
The Home Office range offers a selection of 51 stationery products, designed to meet stationery needs.
Booker is aiming to help independent retailers maximise their sales, by offering support via its network of retail development managers. Range recommendations and merchandising planograms are available, along with POS.
Fox added: "The stationery market is currently £500m and growing at over 10% annually. Although sales increase at key trading times, this is not just a seasonal range. It will make stores a destination for shoppers' stationery requirements and will help build a profitable business."
