This appointment is due to growth in the forecourt sector of Capper & Co's business over the past two years.

Dempsey joins Capper & Co from Somerfield where he was involved with the development of the Somerfield Essentials store formats. Prior to working with Somerfield, Dempsey was an area manager with Save Service Stations and a store manager with Shell Select.

Dempsey said: "I am looking forward to working as part of the team at Capper & Co and I am excited to be given the role to develop new opportunities to drive sales, develop store standards across the 84 existing forecourt sites, and grow the forecourt estate."
