Landmark Wholesale member, Parfetts Cash & Carry has announced plans to re-locate its trading department from its depot at Aintree to its head office in Stockport.
A significant extension has been planned for the Stockport depot with work due to commence in autumn and it is scheduled for completion early in 2007. The extension will provide more office space at Stockport.
The entire seven-strong trading team, headed by trading director Bill Pace, will all transfer across from Aintree. The move is designed to bring all the administration under one roof at the head office.
Robert Parfett, director at Parfetts, explained: "The board has felt for many years that there would be a significant commercial benefit to be achieved if the trading department were able to be located alongside the other head office functions, particularly accounts and IT, and for all the directors to be in one location.
"We therefore applied for permission to build a large extension to the Stockport depot, sufficient for the new team and also to provide more space for the existing head office and Stockport depot staff."
